Well i have a bit of an issue
I have an original ps vita 1k model
I am running henkaku so its on version 3.60
I modified it already a couple of months ago, i hardly played my vita but i just started adding some things every now and then on my free time on saturdays.
Knowing i could run adreneline >PSP CFW> and then just run nesterJ from the psp section i thought i could try something else running from the vitas power.
Considering i like MGBA better than gbasp i wanted to find another alternative for NES
Browsing online i saw retroarch downloaded and unpacked it on my vita. I did not manage to try much before i got an error i was browsing through the emulator and i think i selected msdos or something right above it.
Shortly after launching i get a black screen saying ''ERROR'' '' turning off system with some bar ( little asterix stars)
system shut off and now my ps vita logo button is just flashing blue , i cannot turn on my system or do anything.
I quickly browsed online and found this is the ''blue light of death'' and also found a video claiming this is fixed by pressing the power+R button.
However i have no tried any of this yet because of fear what will happen to my mod , and all those videos i found about this are and as far as i could see people did not have any mods on their vita.
So i suppose my concern and question is , what do i do now? As i stated i don't want to lose my mod/data.
My free time for this type of thing is just limited to weekends if even that so i would hate to start from scratch but having a working vita is better than having a dead vita .
foolishly i have not done frequent back ups , actually i only ever did one and that was when i barely finished completely modding my system
well i just went into recovery menu and picked ''restart system''
psvita loaded fine and everything seems to be there
Being the curious and persistent person i am i loaded retroarch again and launched the nes core then tried loading a game from there and it did not even loaded it.
Instead the system froze and i got an error yet once again.
I think i will stay away from retroarch from the ps vita for now as it seems to be problematic and possibly quite harmful if something goes bad
Just a word of warning to whoever is fiddling with the retroarch on their ps vita
Maybe i am going about things incorrectly so any input would be helpfull
